Cold as Ice
hi to the Forum, I have just started a new Monk char and am attempting to build her Skills I have been trying to win the Quest "Cold as Ice" in Sifalla trying to defeat the Glacial Griffon I have a 55 monk build of: Balthazar's Spirit,Shield of Judgement,Protective Spirit,Shielding Hands,Spirit Bond, Blessed Signet. Ear Bite(Deldrimor track) and Signet of Infection ( Ebon Vanguard title track. with attribute of 15 Protection Prayers, 15 Divine favour & 4 Smiting Prayers. I am obviously doing something wrong as I am defeated regularly and not even reducing the Griffon's DP to 50%. Can anyone advise me on where I am going wrong or indeed a better "55 build"
to defeat this frustrating creature and his coven of spirits? I suspect my attribute share out may be wrong but have tried other combinations, I must admit I have not been playing this Monk char long but am getting very frustrated with this quest. Thanks in advance for any help which will be gratefully received.

Divine favor should be lower, smite should be alot higher, Shield of J wount last long enough
and tbh, its bad, seeing as u have bad Energy management, if u KD them, it gets worse.

Why use a 55 monk when you can go ahead and load up a spirit spammer on said monk and trash that griffon into next week?

This requires a longbow, kiting and a few more PvE skill quests. I used the steep hill for luring/dropping agro.
[Go /Me with 12 in Insp with Auspicious Incantation, Arcane echo], Vanguard Sniper Support, Signet of Infection, [Vanguard Support Sin, self heal].
Anything in [] is optional, just keep degen from sniper and infection on it and use vanguard sin for stopping it from going too far away

Many thanks to all the responders and your advice : I did alter my attributes to better my Smiting prayers and maxed both Smiting & Protection prayer both 15 and divine favour = 9 it took about 6 minutes and the glacial griffon died, with the original 55 build which I listed in the first thread i altered my weapon to a Stygian Sceptor which halved both casting time & recharge time
thanks for you help and interest
